Canadian Institute of Management
Halifax Branch
Program Overview
The Certificate in Management
Program is designed to broaden your knowledge base and to enhance the
management skills you use every business day.
The CIM program is open to anyone who is or who will soon be working in a
management position, and who wants to improve his or her management skills.
The program consists of eight evening courses -- one each Fall and Winter
semester -- offered over a four-year period.
Educational credit for CIM courses may also be granted for certain university
business courses.
Since the program is based on part-time study, it is especially suited to
people who want to upgrade their skills without interrupting their careers.
Benefits of the program are many:
- The program's practical approach allows you to apply real-life management
challenges to your class work;
- Class sizes are small, allowing ample opportunity for student/instructor
interaction;
- Classes are taught by qualified instructors from local business and the
university community
Students who successfully complete the program, and who maintain their
annual Institute membership, are entitled to use the Certificate in Management
(C.I.M.) designation.
