Communications Programs for Apple II & GS
Compatibility with the Community Net
This space is a growing database on communications programs for the
Apple II & GS environment. Programs are evaluated on the basis of
reliability and how well they perform with Chebucto Suite.
Most evaluations will have a username attached so that you will be able to
find people using communication programs similar to you own and can
collaborate and consult with them.
To help this valuable database grow, please Give a Report on your communications
program.
Below is a list of the programs for which we have evaluations. They are
arranged in a standard format. Ultimately, a fill in form will be placed
online.
The Chebucto Community Net recommends these
settings and supports the following
terminal emulations:
vt50/vt52* vt100/vt102 vt320 xterm sun
*not currently supported by our mail utility, PINE
- Most programs will first be evaluated with VT100/102
- Apple Kermit for CCN
- ProTerm 3.1
- Spectrum 2.3
- Z-Link
The Community Net needs evaluation of these programs and others. We'd
like to know how your program of choice functions with Chebucto Suite so
that we can help others who use it.
