Kristal 'Cookie' MacLeod of Cape Breton won his second Provincial Title Saturday, defeating 21-year old Greg Wilson of Halifax 7-1 in the best-of-thirteen final. MacLeod was superb, never giving Wilson a chance. The clincher came in game 6 when MacLeod shot a century (104) by pocketing 13 consecutive blacks and took a commanding 5-1 lead.
Watch for updates on the Nova Scotia team, and their participation in the Nationals in Vancouver.

Two players advanced from each 5-player round-robin. Ties were broken by number of frames won. MacLeod NS advanced from a tie.
The players are probably home by now. They did well and hopefully enjoyed Vancouver. They were gentlemen as well as fine snooker players. For your readers the Championships were won by Mike Obala from Ontario. Down five frames at the break, Mike came back, winning six straight to defeat another Ontario player, Gerard Morrison. Mike and Gerard will represent Canada at the World Amateur in Cairo in November. Kirk Clouthier, last year's champion finished third. Regards, Ted.
