Mirror, Mirror Scarf. (Available as a PDF from Patternfish)
This is a delightful piece of knitting; the scarf is very easy to knit once you have familiarised yourself with the technique of double-knitting (a detailed description is included in the pattern). Larger-than-usual needles are used, allowing the yarn to go much further than expected; this makes it an ideal project for those odd balls of crazy yarn you just had to buy. WARNING: This pattern is addictive knitting: with the current explosion of exotic and fancy yarns, it is very difficult to stop after just one scarf! Yarn: You will need two yarns of very different texture, sport/DK weight or heavier. A small scarf can be made with 80+ m/yds of each yarn; for a longer scarf, allow more yarn.
