The people selected to conduct each of these sessions is presently involved at a CAP site or community net. For the Web Design practicum we will be using the computer lab at the Dal Library School. Although all delegates will have an opportunity to participate in this workshop, it will be done in two sections to enable maximum individual attention.
Workshop Program 8:30 - 9:15 (A) Developing a Board with a view to obtaining maximum community support and participation. (Peter Morgan and Bernie Hart) 9:15 - 10:00 (B) Internal communications and external public relations.(Joan Waldron) Break 10:30 - 12:30 (C) One half of the group will move to the Computer Lab for the practicum on Web Design. Peter Henry to be assisted Rob Currie and two students) 10:30 - 11:15 (D) The second half of the group will do a session on sustaining a CAP site or community net through attracting, training and holding volunteers. (Jon Hall NWT, Gwen Simpson Alta) 11:15 - 12:00 (E) The second half will remain in the classroom to do a session on fund raising and financial management. (Carlos Freitas and Pat Gould Thorpe) 3:30 - 4:15 (I) How a community gathers and accesses information and how to develop and facilitate a community dialogue.(Susan Arbing)
