Below you can retrieve and set your Chebucto Mail forwarding settings.
Mail forwarding will only work for an active Chebucto Community Net
account. Our automatic spam filtering will not work for mailboxes set to
forward to other internet service providers, however mail will still be
tagged and spam will have the line: X-Is-Spam: Yes in the full
message headers so you or your other internet service provider could set
up a mail filter of your own to catch these messages.
Eastlink Users Update October 27, 2008:
Eastlink has recently changed its spam filtering policies. Mail forwarded
from Chebucto addresses to Eastlink addresses does not include mail tagged
as spam at this time. Mail tagged as spam is being deleted. Eastlink users
wanting to be able to access their Chebucto mail tagged as spam (in case
of legitimate mail tagged in error) should remove their mail forwarding
below.
In order to see your current forwarding setting, fill in your username and
Chebucto mailbox password and leave the 'Forward option' box blank. Next,
click on the 'Get / Set Mail Forward Preference" button. Your current mail
forwarding setting will appear on the next screen.
In order to forward your Chebucto email to a different email address fill
in your username and Chebucto mailbox password and enter the destination
email address into the 'Forward option' field. Next, click on the 'Get /
Set Mail Forward Preference" button.
In order to remove any mail forwarding fill in your username and Chebucto
mailbox password type the word "none", without quotations, into the
'Forward option' field. Next, click on the 'Get / Set Mail Forward
Preference" button.
- Put in your Chebucto login and mailbox password
- Enter the forwarding option
- Then hit Get / Set the forward option at the bottom of the
page.
It may take up to an hour for changes to take effect.
