How to Live in the Real World: A Resource Kit About Sustainable
Communities
The 'How to Live in the Real World' kit explores alternatives to
an economic system that is increasingly harming our environment
and putting more and more people out of work. It features a
workshop/presentation guide, discussion guide, action guide, 'Real
World' map and sustainability principles, and "Stories from the
Real World" -- sustainable success stories (13 stories from the
Maritimes, and 4 from Thailand). The kit is good for community
groups and high school classes.

Discovering your Community: A guide for planning sustainability.
This workbook is a step-by-step guide to cooperative methods of
community planning around sustainability. Chapters include an
introduction to sustainable communities, getting organized,
building a team, gathering and analyzing information, and moving
to action. There are also Community Profile worksheets on the
environmental, economic and social dimensions of a community.
