Several factors affect how long it takes to match a child. BBBS considers the needs and preferences of the child. The interests of the big are also considered. We want to make sure that we make the best match possible.

The key factor is the number of available volunteers. Generally girls are matched up fairly quickly. Unfortunately the waiting period for some boys is up to a year. Some are never matched.
