Some Awards We Have Won!
The Chebucto Community Net, its volunteers and its Information Provider
websites, have continued to garner awards for the technical quality of the
site, the high quality of its materials and information, the dedication of
its volunteers. Here is a selection of awards which have come our way.
- In August, 1998 Yang Style
Tai Chi Chuan was selected as one of the Shaolin WahnamTop Sites
on the Internet.
- In July, 1998 Taoism and
the Philosophy of Tai Chi Chuan was given the True
Vision Award for Excellence.
- In June, 1998 Taoism and
the Philosophy of Tai Chi Chuan was selected as Finalclick
Resources featured site of the month.
- In January, 1998 the Symphony Nova Scotia website (formerly
located on the CCN) won the StudyWeb
Academic Excellence Award.
- In September, 1997 Scottish
Culture and Heritage in Nova Scotia was awarded the Great
Northern Website Award.
- In July, 1997 the Canadian
Orchid Congress was selected as a Starting Point Hot Site.
- In May, 1997 Scottish
Culture and Heritage in Nova Scotia was awarded the Golden Banner
Award.
- In March, 1997 Taoism and
the Philosophy of Tai Chi Chuan was awarded the Virtual Communities
Network Religious Site Of The Week Award.
- In November, 1996 Scottish
Culture and Heritage in Nova Scotia was awarded the Celtic
Thistle Award for Excellence.
- In September, 1996 the Orchid Society of Nova
Scotia page WWW Orchid
Sites was among the first to receive the Orchid Award for Page
Excellence.
- In May, 1996 Yang Style Tai Chi
Website was reviewed and rated a "10" out of 10 by the LynxOfTheWeekList(tm).
- In April, 1996 the Canadian
Orchid Congress was awarded the three star Magellan award by the McKinley Group.
- In April, 1996 Scottish
Culture and Heritage in Nova Scotia was awarded a "10" out of 10 by
the LynxOfTheWeekList(tm).
- In February, 1996 Electronic
Resources on Ornithology was selected as the LynxOfTheWeekList(tm) and
given a rating of "10" out of "10".
- In June, 1995 the Chebucto Community Net was
selected as selected as Best Community Site at the Canadian Internet
Awards.
- In June, 1995 the David Trueman,
Vice-chair of the CCN and chair of its Technical
Committee was chosen as Internet Person of the Year at the Canadian Internet
Awards.
- In June, 1995 the Ecology
Action Centre was nominated for Best Science Site at the Canadian Internet
Awards.
- In June, 1995 the Law Reform Commission
of Nova Scotia was nominated as the Best Law Resource at the Canadian Internet
Awards.
- In June, 1995 the Halifax
Summit G7 Site was awarded the Point Communications Top
5% Award.
