Metro Community Access Network Society Board of Directors meeting October 10, 1995 Attending: Kevin N., Renee D., Bernie H., Joan M.,Joan BH., Gary F., Peter H. Gary opened by announcing that there are two new PAT's open at Northwood and Sir Thompson Manors. It was agreed that we should have guides, both online and printed, to where the PAT's are located. Policy on Information Ctee.:Peter requests that the current user agreement be placed online so that it can be used for reference purposes. They also plan to put examples after clauses in the agreement to put some spirit with the words. Committee on Economic Development: CCN will have 10 minutes on Thursday Oct. 12, at 8am. NSFCN and CBNet will also attend. Membership: We should plan a forum for five weeks hence. There will be 2 issues: commerce and resource allocation. ACTION: Joan M. will poll the membership to find a facilitator. It will be planned for the north branch of the library. Commercialism: ACTION: There was plenty of discussion which Peter H. volunteered to summarize and present to the board list as a draft policy based on David T.'s note on priorities. Nominations: ACTION: Peter H. will have 4 interviews done and 1 or 2 directors chosen for next meeting. Strategic sessions: First will take place on Oct. 24 from 5-9pm, and will address resource allocation. ACTION: Kevin will contact Hugh to see if we can use Summit place for this meeting. Second choice will be Dal. The second strategic session is tentatively scheduled for November 7. ACTION: The forum (Scheduled for Nov. 14) will be in November's Board Notes section of the Newsletter.
