Metro Community Access Network Society
Board of Directors Meeting
March 28, 1995

Attending: David Trueman, David Murdoch, Carlos Freitas, Renee Davis,
Laura Jantek, Bernie Hart, Joan Macintosh, Kevin Nugent, Joan Brown-
Hicks.

David Tr. started by announcing that HRD has a contract ready for us to
sign.

David Murdoch suggested that we hire someone ASAP and work out the
details of the term later.  This would help ease the load on Gerard.

A motion was made by David Murdoch that we proceed to sign the
agreement with HRD. Seconded by Laura Jantek.  The motion was passed. 

Press Conference:
The announcement is out.  A map has been provided.  Twenty press kits
will be prepared.  There was a discussion of the parking situation at Dal.  It
was mentioned that we want to attract all of the main TV, radio and Print
media.

Major sponsors have been informed and will be there.  The top ten IP's will
be there as well.

CHEBUCTO WEEK:
Friday:  Posters for internet week were given to persons intending to place
them.
The food situation is coming along.
Volunteers will be requested for the door as well as for the bar.

The entertainment is coming along as well.  We will need tables and a
barrell for donations  IP's will start setting up at 6:00.  So far the City
Center Ministry, HCRL, the soarers, and the birders have said they are
coming.  An agenda will be needed to give to Frank Cameron.

The training coarses need some work to get ready.
