Ashanti Wallhanging and cushion cover

A colourful wallhanging or cushion cover based on traditional African textiles. The knitting part of this project is copious but easy. Assembling the wallhanging involves multiple steeks and a certain amount of mattress stitch! The cushion cover makes an ideal swatch for the wallhanging, as well as being very attractive on its own.

Size: Approx. 2' 10" by 4' 4" for the wallhanging, 16" square for the cushion cover.
Yarn:Fingering-weight Shelridge Ultra, or 2-ply shetland.
Techniques: Steeks, two-colour-per-round knitting, mattress stitch and infinite patience.
